The God of Small Things By: Roy, Arandchati 1997 Type: Novel

10% : Mysterious secrets in the lives of twins borns in a Syrian Christian family in southern India
Review : Very intelligent , but I didn't enjoy it. It irritates me the story is written backwards , so I jumped to the end and read it
meaning : Life is about luck. Secrets, lying and untruths really screw-up people. The strict conventions of Indian Life make this inevitable.
synopsis : Each character becomes a little screwed-up , but inside a family this becomes amplified in the later members so that they become completely screwed up and the family self destruct.
comments : She really resents Indian society and doesn't say anything good about it
