It's all on Facebook. The thing was I met so many people every day in West Kalimantan I didn't get time to write a webpage
August 20 : Crossed at Entikong : Real big change at the border : wow it was a step down from Malaysia . It was like coming into Africa. the bus was old. There was a lot of land clearance by buring , about 1 in 30 fields by the side of the road had been recently burnt.. I understand where the Borneo haze was coming from.. It was purely a coincidence that the day I crosssed it got worse, cos friends in KK mentioned it at the same time.
At Tanjung the road became absolutely terrible as if no one had been doing maintenance for 10 years, though they were doing major repair work ..there hadn't made a dent.
- Crazy Time in Sangau - What an incredible experience. I was there for 10 days a

- FCO Warnings for Malaysia Sabah : "The kidnapping threat is highest in the area between the towns of Sandakan and mTawau due to its proximity to the Sulu archipelago in the southern Philippines. There are recent indications that extremists may be in the advanced stages of planning to kidnap foreigners from locations in this vicinity." Malaria isnt a big risk except in remote villages.
