August : Scotland tour of Ancient Monuments

saw a poster for The Newbarns Dig, Stewartry Archaeological Trust, so hitched to Sandyhills.. however instead of finding archaeologists explaining stuff, site was abandoned seems after years they are running out of steam ..and don't work in August Newbarns

Today visited Archaeolink, but THE MUSEUM WHICH EXPLAINS ANCIENT RUINS
.. LIES IN RUINS !
.see that's what happens when you put the green lunatics in charge. They spend all the money on green gimmicks like the ever problamatic earthroofs. so suck away £millions oftaxpayer subsidies and then go bankrupt.
same old story ..as the Doncaster eco-centre
I'll start a list in the Discussion thread

.. my framework is neolithic sites ie 3500-5000 years old, not to be confused with Pictish stones which are only 1500-1200 years old. Although I have visted many Pictish sitesover the last 4 days.

- Green Turf roofs ..seem to a particular problem.
I have yet to see a successfuk one
1. The Green primary school in Totnes seems to need a £4m fix after less than 1 year,
2. The Bristol south M5 Motorway services , petrol station started leaing after less than a year
3.The Rged Discovery Centre in Penrith ..an mask on top of another expensie motorway services. The metal seems badly rusting
4. The Archaeolink centre also has aturg roof.
.. I note that taxpayer paid for the earthroof on the community centre in Lismore Island, but I didnt ask about problems

Fri - from Glen Nevis base of Britain s highest mountains, I hitched thru the Great Glen .Port Augustus to Cairnmony .kuckily getting a late lift rom a Polish guy to Beauly

Sat - pretty good hitching arond the Black Isle to the Pictsh stone museum ..to Inveress(another overtouriste place) camped out at Cumberladstone

Sun - walked to Clava cairns then lucky walk/hitching to Forres, Finhorn and Burg-head

Mon - Burg-head Pictish fort. then lucky hitching to Forres museum,.
- wow lucky hitching to Oyne ..found myself trees to camp in and surprisingly an ancient megalith was right there

Tue - Oyne

- yes again lucky ..I found I was only 1.5km walk from the archaeology centre, but then unlucky to find it abadoned. walked 5km to another Pictish carved stone .the Maiden stone.. then hitchedto Inverurie

OILBOOM ! Inverurie a small bumpkin town.. turned into a town of wealth due to it becoming a dormitory town for the Aberdeen oil industry.
- Glamour girls, it must be something to do with te wealth ..almost every womam is glammed up with lipstick and heels

- September : Heritage Weekend
there is a very good map of OS Historial Map Ancient Britain

Scottish Referendum shows UK media is just deceiving Infotaintment

TODAY - The blinding obvious big news is that deeply flawed UK Main Stream NewsMedia got the narrative massively wrong.
- They incessantly went on for the last week it's "neck and neck", yet the actual result has proved completely different. And today Radio4/5 are banging on and on without a mention of how wrong they called it. Far from being neck & neck, they weren't just 1 or 2% wrong. The result was 55.3% No, 44.7% Yes; that's more than 10% margin i.e. the margin of the swing would have had to have been more than 5.3% for the No vote to be the winner. The News medias narrative was massively out. Actually 10 days ago on Radio 4 the maths show called More Or Less pointed out IOW "But these opinion polls are intrinsically flawed as they are all internet polls, so don't reflect the true electorate, rather they are a self selecting sample who use the internet, when actually many people never use the net"

- The NewsMedia were easily able to use other polling methods, but chose rather to go with repeating poll results that confirmed their narrative ..that's confirmation bias
